We were treated very good at this Visconti showroom. All the time of the world the salesman seemed to have. He wanted to show us every fountainpen in the shop. Even the ones that costed several thousands of euro’s! Nothing was a problem, not even ordering another nibsize from the Visconti factory which is also located in Florence so the next day I had my Visconti Ragtime with a bold nib…..

I was very pleased with the servicelevel of this showroom!

It only lasted about half an hour, but the water couldn’t get away through the sewer! For a short while the road looked like a little river.

This will become a place for me to collect information about fountainpens and all kind of other fountainpen related stuff.

It will also be a place where I can keep fellow fountainpenlovers up to date about my fountainpen collection.

Now, with a friend at the other side of the world I have a good reason to try to keep this blog rolling.

Hope to put something on everyday, but I can’t make any promises.

Na lang dubben (wel-niet-wel-niet) heb ik toch besloten om ook eens met een weblog te gaan beginnen. Na enig zoeken uiteindelijk hier uitgekomen. Aan de ene kant denk ik ach wat kan het schelen, aan de andere kant denk ik wat als iemand  dit leest? Maar nu is de knoop doorghakt en ik kan mijn log altijd weer verwijderen als het toch niet blijkt te bevallen.

Een rare ervaring moet ik zeggen.

Wel goed om zelf eens te ervaren hoe het is, na al wat jaartjes op de o.k. rond te lopen is het niet verkeerd om zelf te ervaren wat een patiënt meemaakt.

Gelukkig hoefde ik alleen maar aan mijn pols geopereerd te worden en kon het met een axillairblok. Klein voordeel is dat ik wel een beetje zelf kon regelen wie er voor het blok ging zorgen en wie er op de o.k. bij zou staan.

Bij zo’n axillairblok heb je trouwens wel de hele tijd het gevoel dat je met je arm aan een stroomdraad hangt waar 220 V op staat. Niet meteen erg pijnlijk te noemen, maar wel een erg irritant gevoel. Je moet er niet teveel op proberen te letten, anders wordt je er gek van, vandaar dat ik dit bericht maar zit te typen. Normaal typ ik met tien vingers, dus dit gaat een stuk langzamer en dan ben ik weer effe afgeleid en een keer zo lang bezig als normaal. Het heeft zeker tot een uurtje of één vannacht geduurd voordat het blok was uitgewerkt. Gelukkig heb ik goed kunnen slapen, ik was alleen vanmorgen al vroeg wakker en toen kon ik niet meer in slaap komen. Ondanks de behoorlijke dosis pijnstilling is het vandaag erg pijnlijk.
